Tallit (dance) ring

Henry Duveryer said in 1864 that a people who lack compasses and who travel at night to avoid the heat are forced to follow their path following stars and constellations. Each star and each star has, at least, a name and a story that is repeated a thousand times so that children always remember it.
In Tamanshek language Tallit is the name of the moon when it is full and that of a ring that women use to dance and scare away evil spirits. It is not a coincidence: the roundness and size (larger than any other ring) justify it. Then, to round off the nocturnal transit, the jeweler completes his work by engraving Tatrit, one of the brightest stars in the sky, in the center of the ring. Each point of the star is a Tchatchat, that triangle that represents women and favors their fertility.
Just one more detail: the Tallit always contains a few grains of sand inside that sound in the night when the woman's hand shakes it to scare away the evil genies... or to attract the man she loves.
