Information
Patina is a thin, soft layer that forms naturally on the surface of some metals as they age. It can be green, brown, or gray in color and is formed as a result of the oxidation of the metal. An even patina on the surface of an object has been developed over decades, if not centuries, and is a sign that an antique is genuine. At Black Market we choose to preserve it.
