Tesabit
Tesabit Slope –Tuareg– (Agadez region, Niger)
Everything is rounded off by sand and wind. In the desert the details disappear, the cycles are repeated and even the jewels end up taking the shape of the moon. Circles and more circles: rings, gourds, wells or even the Tesabiten, those "acacia thorns" made of silver that the silversmith twists until they become Tendrils with which women decorate their ears or noses.
The Tesabit earring that we show you was made in Berber silver, with one pointed end and another pyramidal at the base of which the four-petal flower of the Aluat has been drawn. On the four sides of the clavicular head there are some aquatic motifs and several triangles with constellations inside. The shaft is decorated with small circles.
