The horned woman is one (among many) of the human forms imagined in the complex Dogon cosmogony. The piece that exists in Black Market is a lost-wax cast bronze figure 31 cm high in a seated position with very long arms; Her cow horns, her gazelle ears, and her leopard spots reveal a distant and mystical planetary origin. Probably made before 1950.
